Love, Back 2 Skool, and Sales!

It's amazing. I mean truly amazing. Two of my designers have released kits today. Ok, that isn't the amazing part. The amazing part is that I have my layouts done for today AND I'm actually blogging about it. Aren't you shocked? I know I am.

First let me just mention that this weekend at GingerScraps is New Release Weekend. Well, then again, every weekend is New Release Weekend. What does that mean exactly? It means every new release is 25% for the entire weekend! Yes, you read that right - 25% off!

Ok, now that business has been taken care of let me show off some of the stuff I've been working on.

LDrag Designs has partnered up with JennCK Designs to put together this awesome new collab called Love Is!

Isn't it awesome? I decided it would be awesome to do a layout for my 10th wedding anniversary (which happens to be today). Here is my layout:

Now for a cute back to school it. Haynay Designs has just released a kit called Back 2 Skool. I love the grown up feel to it. Here, take a look and I'll let you decide.

What do you think? Really cute right?

For this kit I wanted to scrap a layout about my husband. He is working on finishing his Bachelor's degree. I'm so excited for him and I wanted to capture this moment.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

SS at SM On Sunday

Long Time No Talk!

Wow, it's been awhile. So much as changed in my scrapping life. Let's see where to start. I've been asked to become the site manager at GingerScraps. Those of you that have known me at Scrapable, know that I haven't found a "home" since I left. I can honestly say I found my new home. Everyone there is so nice and friendly, it was definitely a smart move for me. The best part is some of my Scrapable designers are there! I'm so excited to be working with them again!

My creative teams have changed around a bit. I'm very happy with how things have worked out. I'm still Colie's Corner CT Lead, boy I love her. I'm still on Trixie Scraps team, Haynay Designs, and Neverland Scraps. I also just joined LDrag Designs' team. That was a huge surprise that I made that team...lol. Plus this month I'm guesting for Spinky Dink Scraps. I'm having a blast there. Next month I get to guest for Connie Prince! You have no idea how much I'm looking forward to that. I guess you can say I'm very busy with my scrapping! I couldn't be any happier.

I guess that is really all that is going on!

Until next time!

Our Garden

Our family has been very hard at work building a garden. We took a 25' x 25' section of our yard and decided to turn it into a garden. It took about a week just to get rid of all the grass. It was an incredible process. Who knew grass could be so heavy! After the grass was all gone, we had tons
and tons of rocks to get rid of. I'm talking rocks of all shapes and sizes. We had about 5 boulders that needed to be moved (ouch!) and too many other rocks to count. We finally got the garden
emptied (for the most part) of those stupid rocks, but found other things in there. It turns out this section of the yard was the dump site for the trash when our house was being built. No wonder we had drainage problems!

Today we finally got our garden finished. We have cucumbers, tomatoes, hot peppers, Japanese eggplant, carrots, watermelon, sweet corn, broccoli, and herbs growing - at least we hope they will grow.

I'm so proud of all of our hard work that I decided to scrap pictures of it. I used Trixie Scraps Designs' new kit - My Summer Garden. You can find the kit at Scrap Matters and Gotta Pixel.

Now I get to look forward to weeding and watering. Hopefully the veggies and fruits will grow to make all of the hard work worth it.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

What do you do with your layouts?

I'm at the point where I'm trying to figure out what to do with my layouts? Do I print them? Do I do a book with them? Are they even good enough to put them in a book?

I know some friends do yearly family books. I was thinking I was going to do that, but then what about all those school events? Then I talked to my friend Tabby (Scrapberry Designs) and she said she is making a book for her kids of their school years. I thought that was a great idea - but then I started wondering more. Can you tell I think too much about non-important stuff?

Do I put my school layouts only in the school album? Do I include them in the family album too? If I do that then why do I need a school album? If I do a school album that I will print/buy after I scrap their high school graduation pictures, etc in it - should I redo the school layouts I did before in paper?

I guess it comes down to how many albums do my kids really want to carry around with them as they move on with their adult life? Will they even want them? That then brings me back to the beginning - should I just save them all to a DVD and not print any?

Thoughts? Opinions?

Been Awhile Huh?

I can't believe it's been so long since I last posted. I think between my family and then the Queen of Scrap contest at Scrap Matters I haven't had much time. Now it seems the teachers at my kids' school are throwing all the events they can for the kids. That means that I'm living at the school. Thankfully school will be done on the 22nd.

I hope once the kids are home I'll be able to start writing more.
